KABUL: First Deputy Prime Minister Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar visited Bamyan, where he met with the provincial police chief, Mawlavi Siddiqullah Shaheen and investigated security and social issues, a statement from his office said Friday.
The main purpose of the Deputy Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation was to assess security and social issues in the province, said the statement.
In a meeting with First Deputy PM, Mullah Baradar, the provincial police chief assured him of sure security in the province.
“No security problem in the province and we are making effort to help people live in peaceful and secure environment,” also assured governor of Bamyan Mawlavi Abdullah Sarhadi.
The deputy PM also assured officials of doing his best to address the available problems relating to the equipment of the provincial airfield.
