First Deputy PM chairs economic commission

KABUL: The Economic Commission meeting was held, with First Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund on the chair, on Sunday.
A statement received by The Kabul Times from the office of the First Deputy Prime Minister, said that in the meeting attended by the representatives of the organs concerned, Mullah Baradar instructed the related ministries and administrations to control the quality of the imported goods including foodstuffs and medicines.
The meeting also resolved that a joint commission should be set up by the relevant ministries, the state-run Petroleum and Liquefied Gas Company and the National Standard Authority, to control the prices of petroleum and liquefied gas, the statement added.
Also, the economic commission approved the transportation union’s suggestions on the company, according to the source.
