Finance Ministry collected 2 bln Afghani in revenue last year

KABUL: The Ministry of Finance of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) has collected 2,000,000,000 Afghani some  (23,128,759.85 US dollars) in revenue from the rent of public properties in 1401 last solar year, a statement from the ministry said the other day. The collected revenues have been handed over to the government treasury department,  which shows a considerable increase comparing to the past years, prior to the takeover of the Islamic Emirate,” said the statement. After the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan returned to power, in the first few weeks, the Ministry of Finance resumed all its systems and centralized all revenues, as well as reduced the level of corruption to zero, brought administrative reforms and economically improved itself, the statement added. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Finance has hired hundreds of professionals through open competition and is planning to promote hundreds of other vacancies in which qualified and professional people will be hired.
