Fifty Children return home after treatment in Germany, ARCS

KABUL: A total of 50 Afghan children, after receiving medical treatment in Germany, have returned to the country, a statement from the Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) said Saturday. A total of 50 Afghan children who suffered heart disease, burns and orthopedic illness had been sent to Germany last year for medical treatment and returned to the country after receiving necessary medical treatment, said the statement.
A meeting was held to hand over the children to their families, acting Director of the Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) Mawlavi Matiulhalq Khalis welcomed the returned children and appreciated the cooperation of the German “Village of Peace International Organization” on various areas with the society. “ARCS takes care of the children and provides them with necessary medicines, and asked their families to pay serious
attention to their children’s healthcare,” the statement quoted Khalis as saying.
