Exports, imports surpassed 74,000 tons in a week, ARA

KABUL: The country’s exports and imports volume has reached 74,887 metric tons within the last one week, the Afghanistan Railway Authority said in a statement on Sunday. “A significant amount of 48,954 metric tons of commodities have been traded via Hairatan port, 23,388 metric tons of goods have also been traded through Torghondi port and the rest have been traded via Aqina port,” the statement said. To increase the country’s exports and imports the authority is making efforts to bring necessary transparency and provide traders with further trade facilities in the country’s ports, according to the statement. Also, more than 70,000 metric tons of commodities have been traded via the country’s railways in the previous week. The Kabul Times
