Expediting work on Qush Tepa Canal & other development projects in Afghanistan

The Islamic Emirate has increased efforts towards the development of the country as hundreds of small and major development and economic projects have been launched in various parts of the country. With the Islamic Emirate takeover, the overall security situation has improved across the country. The Islamic Emirate has prioritized the implementation of development projects in the country as the completion of national and economic projects can bring prosperity to the country. Currently, thousands of Afghans are engaged in working on different national and economic projects in the country. Qush Tepa is considered as one of the major and national projects in the country. It is unique in the region and will make the country self-sufficient in the agricultural sector in the near future. With the completion of the Qush Tepa Canal project, thousands of Afghans will be provided with employment and bring prosperity and economic development to the country. For the expedition of construction work on the canal, a meeting was held in Arg the other day. Chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, the meeting discussed expediting work on Qush Tepa Canal. In the meeting, representatives from relevant government organs discussed progress, improvement and facilities in the activities of the canal. The representatives of the general department of administration, ministry of agriculture, irrigation and livestock, ministry of water and energy and national development corporation shared their suggestions in connection with expediting the work on the canal. They also discussed expediting work for the completion of the canal, providing more resources and possibilities for carrying out works and topography routes and precision studies of the canal were also discussed in the meeting. With the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate, construction work on the Qush Tepa Canal was launched about one year ago. The first phase of the project has been completed while work on the second round is in progress. The Islamic Emirate has put all necessary measures in place to complete the canal based on its construction schedule. This canal which is almost 284 kilometers long starts from the Amu River in Balkh’s Kaldar district and finally reaches to Andkhoy district of Faryab province after passing through Jawzjan. Construction work on dozens of development and economic projects in the past two years clearly shows the commitment of the Islamic Emirate to a developed Afghanistan. The people are also happy about launching various small and major development projects by the Islamic Emirate. It is worth mentioning that the Islamic Emirate has also focused on the implementation of regional projects. The Islamic Emirate has assured the regional countries of full security and support. The Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India (TAPI), Central AsiaSouth Asia (CASA-1000), as well as the one Belt and one Road Initiative if implemented are some examples of regional projects with implementation of which bring further stability in the region.
