EU medical shipment arrived in Kabul

KABUL: A package of medical supplies and Trauma kits arrived in Kabul, the United Nations World Health Organization (WHO) wrote on its Twitter page the other day.
“With support from EU_echo and EU in Afghanistan, WHO received medical supplies and trauma kits through the EU Humanitarian Air Bridge. The supplies will be distributed to health facilities across Afghanistan,” the organization twitted.
Meanwhile, Janez Lenarèiè European Commissioner for Crisis Management, in charge of European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid, European Emergency Response Coordinator said: “While crises worldwide multiply and emergencies escalate, the EU does not forget about Afghans in need. Today, the 27th Humanitarian Air Bridge flight to Kabul successfully delivered over 100 tons of lifesaving goods, in collaboration with our humanitarian partners”. In Afghanistan, medical supplies are needed on a large scale. Today, close to 100 tons of life-saving aid arrived in Kabul.
The aid will be distributed via trusted EU humanitarian partners on the ground.
