Entrance, stone inscription built for Dasht-e-Laili Martyrs cemetery in Kandahar

KANDAHAR: The provincial Information and Culture Directorate of Kandahar said Sunday that it has completed the construction of the doorway and stone inscription of the Dasht-eLaili Martyrs graveyard in the Aino Mina district of the province. “Following the instruction of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate (May Allah Protect Him), the Information and Cul ture Directorate of Kandahar province completed the construction of the doorway and stone inscription of the Dasht-e-Laili Martyrs graveyard in Aino Mina district,” the directorate said in a statement. This is to be noted that thousands of the Islamic Emirate Mujahidin who had been sent to eliminate evil and corruption in the country’s northern Mazar-eSharif, Jawzjan and other provinces in 1997, were first arrested following a negotiation and then massively martyred by General Malik and a number of his allies, according to the statement. After two years of full control of the Islamic Emirate over the country’s north, the bodies of the martyrs were shifted to the country’s southern province of Kandahar and buried in the graveyard.
