KABUL: At least 8 individuals including 2 women have been arrested on charges of robbery in the capital Kabul, the Kabul police office said in a statement Sunday. “During a series of countercrime operations by anti-crime police personnel, 8 professional thieves including 2 women, which[they] had stolen 20,000 U.S. dollars from a money changer, have been arrested in the 3rd police district of the Kabul city,” the statement said. Two days ago, fourteen individuals in connection with robbery have also been arrested in various parts of the capital Kabul, according to the statement. The detainees have been taken to the judiciary organs for further investigation into their files, the statement added. Police personnel of the Islamic Emirate is making efforts to crack down on the activity of criminal groups across the country. The Kabul Times
