KABUL: The people of Afghanistan celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr peacefully all over the country.
During the holy month of Ramadan, scores of security threats took place in some provinces of the country, including the capital, where dozens of people lost their lives and tens of others sustained deep and light injuries.
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlavi Hebbatullah Akhunzadah led Eid-ul-Fitr in the country’s southern province of Kandahar, where his excellency told thousands of worshippers attending the prayer that the IEA has achieved victory, freedom and success since it took power last year
At the Kandahar Mosque, he congratulated the worshippers and the entire people of Afghanistan on the arrival of the Eid-ul-Fitr as well as on the victory, freedom and success, the IEA mujahidin achieved.
In the capital Kabul and other provinces of the country, the Muslim people of Afghanistan also peacefully celebrated the religious ceremony, despite overspread fear and dread from certain militant groups.
