Efforts underway to create work opportunities, improve family living conditions, minister

KABUL: The acting Economy Minister Qari Din Mohammad Hanif said that necessary efforts are underway to create job opportunities to improve the livelihood and support the family economy in the country. Qari Hanif made the remarks in a meeting with several scholars and elders of the newly established Chaharbaran district of eastern Paktika province, the ministry said in a statement Monday. While supporting the programs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, they demanded further attention from the relevant organs and institutions to improve the supply of services and implementation of development projects in the district, according to the statement. Speaking about his-led ministry’s development plans and compliance with balanced development in all development sectors across the country, the economy minister said that the ministry’s main focus is on creating job opportunities to improve living conditions and support the household economy. “To achieve this goal, the ministry has shared the proposed plans with the United Nations offices, domestic and foreign institutions, and donor institutions to implement Humanitarian aid and development projects in the affected areas and the newly established districts in the country,” the statement quoted Qari Hanif as saying.
