ERAT: Police in the country’s western province of Herat said that efforts were going on to identify and arrest murderers of five family members including three children. Unidentified individuals have stabbed to death five members of a family, overnight, in Afghanistan’s western Herat province, local officials said.
The incident happened late on Friday night, after individuals broke into a house, stabbing to death five people including a man, a woman and three children, in Khawja Surma village of Enjil district, Sabit Heravi, a spokesperson to the provincial intelligence directorate told media.
The motive behind the deadly incident is not still clear, but investigations are going on to identify and arrest the murderers, said the spokesman.
Confirming the incident, Mahmoud Shah Rassuli, the provincial police spokesman said that all five persons have been killed after being stabbed in the necks and heads. The Kabul Times
