Education program launched for 350 youth in Laghman

KABUL: A free education program for 350 people was launched in the provincial Directorate of Information and Culture of Laghman, the other day. Directorate of Information and Culture of Laghman, in a statement, said that the education program included computer programs, languages and calligraphy.

During his visit to the province, Deputy Minister of Information and Culture for Youth Affairs Qari Mohammad Yunus Rashid, inaugurated the training center. In the center, Arabic and English language training is offered to youth by professional teachers along with computers and the art of calligraphy, according to the statement. The provincial director of information and culture, Mawlavi Abdul Noor Rasouli, said the aim of the educational program is to encourage youth to acquire knowledge and serve their people and country. On the other hand, the youths called it a great and positive step by the Directorate of Information and Culture in increasing their academic skills. They said that many youths here cannot continue their studies due to economic problems. The Kabul Times
