EC’s technical commission discusses curbing foreign currencies in transactions

KABUL: The meeting of the Technical Committee of the Economic Commission was held in Marmarin Palace, discussing various important issues, the Deputy PM office for Economic Affairs said in a statement on Tuesday. The meeting discussed a series of important issues including the strategy to curb the use of foreign currencies in transactions, the matter of reimbursing advance royalties to private companies for talc extraction, the proposed revenue policy for the mining sector by the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, the statement said. Also, outstanding payments related to the scaffolding wood contract with the Northern Coal Enterprise, involving the Afghan Corporation Construction Company, were discussed in the meeting. Furthermore, it was determined that these crucial topics would be elevated to the Economic Commission for a final decision. Javed Husain
