Economic, humanitarian issues should not be linked with politics, Muttaqi

KABUL: The Acting Foreign Minister Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, in a meeting, with a high-ranking delegation of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), said the humanitarian aid and economic issues should not be linked to politics. The meeting discussed some important issues including fighting against polio and better coordination between Afghanistan and the region, the ministry said in a statement the other day. Muttaqi said that with the arrival of security and the elimination of corruption, international humanitarian organizations have now been provided with a good working environment in Afghanistan, according to the statement. Minister Muttaqi emphasized that the United Nations should accept an Afghan representative in the World Health Organization to help the world get a true picture of Afghanistan’s health.
