Earlier withdrawal of US forces to have negative impacts, experts

As the US president has declared the proposal to pullout forces from Afghanistan, a number of Afghan experts and citizens say that earlier withdrawal of US forces would follow with negative impacts.
The US president’s move has faced with reactions in and abroad as US senate chairman has asked senators to prevent Trump’s decision.
“We are not the world’s police, but we are freedom defenders and this is the US president to back its alliances and fight against terrorism in coordination and cooperation with other countries”, US senate chairman said.
Acting minister of defense Asadullah Khalid has recently said that Afghanistan’s army was ready to defend the country if the US forces remain or don’t, because, defending this country is our responsibility.
According to him, the Afghan National Army (ANA) would target enemy’s hideouts and they are ready to independently defend the country’s territory.
Expressing concern over US forces withdrawal from Afghanistan, military experts say that considering regional sensitivities, US forces presence is a serious need.
“If the US forces gradually pullout from Afghanistan, it won’t affect war situation, but if it is done rapidly, the terrorist groups and their supporters would benefit, an expert Jamal Farahmand said.
He believes that terrorist groups are still fighting against both countries’ interests and US forces should remain in Afghanistan for now.
US forces should remain in Afghanistan due to regional and political issues, besides, the government should try its best no to lose its international partners or it would be isolated, a military expert Jawid Kohistani said.
This is while President Ghani has recently sent a letter to his US counterpart, asking him not to pullout the entire US forces, but decrease their number by 3000.
Appreciating the president’s move, a number of Afghan citizens said foreign forces should remain in Afghanistan until the Afghan security forces are fully equipped.
Expressing optimism on President Ghani’s move on US forces presence in Afghanistan, a Kabul resident Seddiq Motmaen said that earlier withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan would follow with negative impacts.
This is while that US President Donald Trump has recently declared he will withdraw 7000 US forces from Afghanistan, an action that has followed with reactions worldwide.
