KABUL: A narcotics-producing factory has been destroyed and twenty individuals in connection with purchasing and trafficking of drugs arrested in some provinces of the country, the Ministry of Interior Affairs said in a statement Tuesday. “The counter-drugs police personnel of the ministry during a series of anti-narcotics operations have destroyed a drug processing lab in Alingar district of Laghman province and arrested 20 individuals on charges of purchasing and trafficking of the narcotics in Takhar, Kabul, Khost and Nangarhar provinces of the country,” the statement said. Over hundreds of kilograms of narcotics have also been discovered and seized in the factories, the statement quoted. The detainees have been taken to the judiciary and justice organs for further investigations into their files. The Kabul Times
