DOHA: The Acting Ambassador of Afghanistan to Qatar Dr. Mohammad Naeem attended the 12th Conference of the Ministers of Culture in the Islamic World, at the official invitation of the Information and Culture Ministry of that country, in Doha, the embassy said in a statement Tuesday. The conference was attended by a number of Information and Culture Ministers, ambassadors, representatives and delegations from various Islamic countries and other foreign organizations, the statement said. Themed “Towards Renewing Cultural Action in the Islamic World,” the conference was held at the Qatari capital, Doha from 25 to 26 September 2023. The conference, which is organized by the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), addresses many current priority cultural issues and enhances joint cultural action in the areas of cultural planning, indicators of development, developing the program related to Capitals of Culture in the Islamic World, and confronting illicit trafficking of cultural property.
