Dozens of uplift projects inaugurated in Panjsher

BAZARAK: Ten public welfare projects worth 374,000 U.S. dollars have been inaugurated in the country’s central province of Panjshir, the provincial Information and Culture Department said in a statement the other. “Retaining walls along the Panjsher River, water heads andv irrigation canals were included in the projects, which have been implemented within seven months in Anaba and Shotul districts of Panjsher province,” the statement quoted Director of the provincial Information and Culture Department Nasrullah Malikzada as saying. The development projects were financed by the World Food Programme (WFP) and Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). The schemes would go a long way in better irrigation of the hundreds of acres of agricultural land, the official hoped. The Kabul Times
