Dozens of recently discovered historic items handed over to Ghor Museum

FIROZKOH: A total of 40 various types of historical relics, which were obtained from the surrounding Jam Minaret area due to recent flash floods, have been handed over to the provincial museum, the provincial Information and Culture Department said in a statement the other day. Director of the provincial information and culture department Mawlavi Abdul Hai Zaeem said: “Due to recent floods in Ghor province, especially around the Jam minaret, tens of works of art were found, most of them related to the Ghorian era and handed over to the provincial museum.” He added that the found artifacts include iron vessels, pottery, bird figurines and other similar items which would soon be investigated by archaeologists.
