KABUL: Officials of Department for the Implementation of Health Laws of the country’s Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) have informed of closing of dozens of hospitals, clinics and labs that had repeatedly violated the country’s health laws.
In an interview with The Kabul Times correspondent, head of the department Mawlavi Mahmoudullah Zahid said that the department for the implementation of health laws of the country’s ministry of public health has closed dozens of hospitals, diagnostic clinics, and laboratories in Kabul city where they used to violate the health laws.
“The MoPH’s department for the implementation of health laws has closed 52 hospitals, diagnostic clinics, and laboratories in Kabul, where they used to violate the health laws,” Mawlavi Zahid said, adding that owners of the hospitals and clinics have been introduced to relevant organs for further investigation.
Pointing to some responsibilities of the department, Mawlavi Zahid said that the department was also responsible for introducing patients to the passport department to urgently issue passports so that they could go for treatment abroad.
It is worth mentioning that the MoPH’s department for the implementation of health laws is one of the MoPH’s key departments responsible for watching the work of hospitals, clinics and labs, issuing work licenses to doctors, extension of licenses and the implementation of health laws in the country.
