Dozens of foreign tourists visit historical sites of Kandahar

KANDAHAR: Scores of foreign tourists have recently visited the historical sites of the country’s southern province of Kandahar, the provincial Information and Culture Department said in a statement Sunday. During a meeting with the Director of the provincial Information and Cultural, Mawlavi Inamullah Samangani, the Iranian, Italian and Chinese tourists said that after the resumption of power by the Islamic Emirate, the security situation has been improved in Afghanistan, according to the statement. “Without any fear and problems we came to Kandahar province and visited the historical sites, monuments and other recreational areas, as well as we plan to visit the historical monuments of other provinces,” they said. Welcoming them, Samangani assured that they can visit historical sites of the province, as several groups of foreign tourists from different countries came to this province and without any problems have visited the historical places, according to the statement. The director of the provincial information and culture department according to the statement, went on as saying that after the resumption of power by the Islamic Emirate the security situation has been improved and this has encouraged foreign tourists to come to Afghanistan and visit the historical sites natural attractions of various provinces of the country.
