Development projects inaugurated at Kabul International Airport

KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar Akhund, in an official ceremony, inaugurated several development projects at the Kabul International Airport, his office said in a statement the other day. The ceremony was attended by a number of high-ranking government officials including the Acting Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Mullah Hamidullah Akhundzada, airport officials, representatives from the private sector, and national businessmen and investors, the statement said. Addressing the ceremony, Mullah Beradar said four decades of continued conflicts have impacted Afghanistan’s infrastructure and now all Afghans must jointly work towards the country’s progress and prosperity, according to the statement. “All Afghans, particularly national businessmen and investors, should actively contribute to the country’s reconstruction based on their capabilities,” the statement quoted Beradar. Emphasizing the pivotal role of security in a nation’s development, Beradar said overall security has been ensured in the country and Afghan investors residing abroad should return and collaborate in the reconstruction of Afghanistan. Also, he pledged unwavering support to investors, national businessmen, and industrialists from the Islamic Emirate. The deputy prime minister according to the statement, went on as saying that all government institutions should prioritize the safety and well-being of national businessmen and investors while promptly addressing their concerns.
