KABUL: Deputy Prime Minister on political affairs Mawlavi Abdul Kabir met with Arnout Pauwels, the European Union’s Chargé d’ affairs in Afghanistan, his office said in a statement.
In the meeting, the deputy prime minister expressed gratitude about the humanitarian aids from international community, especially the European Union’s for Afghanistan.
The EU Chargé d’ affairs, in Afghanistan, said that the union wanted to have further interaction with Afghanistan and support the Afghan people and continue talks in different areas with the Afghan side.
He emphasized that he was in favor of peace in Afghanistan and the unity and integrity of its people.
“We hope that the European Union and the Islamic Emirate will work on creating and maintaining a positive atmosphere of engagement and cooperation and my successor, who knows about Afghanistan, will be effective in this field,” he added.
The Deputy Prime Minister, Mawlavi Abdul Kabir said that Afghanistan remained committed that Afghan soil will not be used against any other country and will not allow others to violate Afghanistan’s sovereignty.
“We want good relations with all countries including the European Union, he added that our interaction and political relations with neighboring, regional and world countries, continue and we hope to make good progress in the future”, said the prime minister.
