Deputy PM Hanafi reviews health situation

KABUL: Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan for Administrative Affairs Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, reviewed plans and reforms for improvement of health situation in government-run hospitals, his office said in a statement Monday.
In the meeting, Dr. Qalandar Ebad, Acting Minister of Public Health, spoke about the necessity of reforms in the hospitals and improving health situation countrywide, hiring trained professionals, according to the statement.
He also briefed about providing health services in all parts of the country in a balanced manner and other existing problems in the health sector.
The health centers reform plan, the Jamhoryat hospital reform plan, ensuring people’s access to medicine, improving the capacity of health personnel and some other issues have also been discussed in the meeting, according to the source.
Deputy Prime Minister made the necessary decisions regarding the recruitment of specialists in the health centers and the creation of a responsible team for the activation of Ibn-e-Sina drug manufacturing company and the preparation of a plan for the standardization of the Jamhoryat hospital.
