Deputy PM Hanafi receives Shia scholars

KABUL: Deputy to the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, met with a number of Shia scholars here the other day, his office said in a statement.
Representing others Seyyed Mohammad Ali Jawid spoke about some social, cultural, security and co-existence issues of Muslims and asked the officials of the Islamic Emirate to pay serious attention to ensuring security during Muharram, said the statement.
Deputy Prime Minister Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi welcomed Shia scholars to his office and said the unity and sympathy between the followers of the religions and sects of the Afghan nation is unique in our homeland and the enemies of Afghan nation are trying to create gaps among the Afghan nation through fueling insecurity, but the officials of the Islamic Emirate with the help of Allah Almighty and the cooperation of the nation will not allow anyone to do such things in the future, according to the statement. PM Hanafi asked Shia scholars and elders to cooperate and coordinate with government authorities to provide better security and play their positive role in the development of the country.
