Deputy Minister Farahi visits some historical sites in Ghazni

GHAZNI: The Deputy Publication Minister of Information and Culture, Hayatullah Mahajer Farahi has visited a number of historical sites and places in the country’s central province of Ghazni, the provincial Information and Culture Directorate said in a statement Saturday. Deputy Minister Farahi, during his provincial trip, visited historical sites, such as the Mauso leum of Hakim Sanai, Baba Hajji Mosque, Sebuktigin Tomb, the Mausoleum of Sultan Mahmod Ghaznavi, Mausoleum of Sanai, the Museum of Islamic Art, Bala Hessar and historical minarets of Ghazni, the statement said. “Historical sites and relics are the spiritual asset of the nation and their maintenance, protection and reconstruction are one of the joint responsibilities of the nation and government,” the statement quoted Deputy Farahi as saying. Farahi also added tourist industry is one of the important income sources at the world level and that there is a need to increase the historical and tourist areas in the country, particularly in Ghazni province, according to the statement.
