KABUL: Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Idrees Zaman met in his office with the Ambassador of the Republic of India to Kabul, Vinay Kumar, yesterday morning.
The two sides discussed bilateral arrangements and exchanged views on a wide range of issues of common interest.
At the outset, Deputy Minister Zaman congratulated Ambassador Kumar on Prime Minister Modi’s successful visit to Europe.
On the bilateral arrangements, the Indian envoy briefed Deputy Minister Zaman on some infrastructure projects, assuring him of smooth progress.
The meeting also focused on issues of common interest including the peace process, the upcoming presidential elections as well as issues of regional nature and some other upcoming events.
Both sides emphasized the importance of regional connectivity.
