DABS collected over 490m Afghani in revenue in a week

KABUL: Over 490 million Afghani (some 5.68 million U.S. dollars) have been collected in revenue from power bills in twelve provinces of the country, in the second week of the current solar year, Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) in a statement said the other day. The revenues have been collected by the company’s provincial officials in the past one week of the current solar year and handed over to the government Treasury, said the statement. Most of the revenues have been collected with 270 million Afghani in Kabul, 150 million Afghani in Paktia and 46 million Afghani in Balkh provinces, as well as over 2 million Afghani, have been collected from other resources, the statement added. After the resumption of power by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA), the level of corruption has considerably decreased and the country’s revenues have also been collected and transparently handed over to the government’s Treasury.
