Officials of Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB) the country’s central bank in a meeting the other day with a UN delegation discussed economic development, normalization of banking system and coordination of humanitarian aids in the country.
According to a spokesperson to Da Afghanistan Bank, Advisor of Da Afghanistan Bank Lutful Haq Noor Pasarly and General Director of the DAB’s Office Sediqullah Khalid met with the UN Secretary General’s Deputy Special Representative for Afghanistan, Ramiz Alakbarov here in Kabul. “Both sides discussed development of Afghanistan national economy, normalization of banking system and coordination affairs of humanitarian aids in the country,” said Hasibullah Noori, the DAB’s spokesperson.
He added that both sides by recalling of achievements in banking system in the country in the past one year said that Da Afghanistan Bank was committed to better services to the people, domestic and international institutions in accordance to national and international laws and regulations.
He further said that the UN Secretary General’s Deputy Special Representative for Afghanistan appreciated Da Afghanistan Bank for its cooperation in providing banking facilities in the country and assured of further cooperation with the country’s central bank.
Meanwhile, a delegation of Afghanistan Moneychangers Council led by the council’s chairman Mohammad Mirza Katawazi have met with Deputy Prime Minister for political affairs of the Islamic Emirate Mawlavi Abdul Kabir at Sapidar Palace.
In the meeting, both sides discussed problems facing the country’s moneychangers, improvement of banking system in Afghanistan, keeping stable the Afghani currency and development of the country’s economy.
Chairman of Afghanistan Moneychangers Council asked deputy prime minister to help in increasing coordination between the country’s moneychangers, ministry of finance and Da Afghanistan Bank as all transactions were conducted through moneychangers in the country.
In the meeting, Mawlavi Abdul Kabir assured of solution of problems facing the country’s moneychangers, adding that the Islamic Emirate would boost coordination between the relevant organs.
