KABUL: Da Afghanistan Bank – the country’s central bank is expected to auction 14 million U.S. dollars, on Wednesday, the bank said in a statement Tuesday. “Eligible lenders and money exchangers are invited to take partin the auction,” said the statement. According to the statement, the winners will have to settle their accounts by the end of the day, but the partial payment was not acceptable, the statement further said. The central bank of the country is making efforts to auction more U.S. dollars to prevent currency inflation and keep the price of Afghani, the country’s national currency stable in the near future.
