KABUL: The country’s central bank – Da Afghanistan Bank, in a statement the other day, said it has lifted restrictions on the withdrawal of the salaries by both the government and the private sector employees.
“All government and private-sector workers could receive their salaries from banks without any restrictions,” said the statement.
In line with a strategic plan for the reconstruction of the banking and financial sector, the DAB had removed curbs on salary withdrawals, the statement added. Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, earlier in an economic meeting, suggested a plan to relax the banking curbs, according to the statement.
