Costing over $976,000 road built in Baghlan

KABUL: Construction work on the Kotal-e-Baghan road worth 72 million Afghani (some 976,386 U.S. dollars) has been completed in the country’s northern province of Baghlan, the Ministry of Public Works said in a statement on Wednesday. The road with a length of 2.1 kilometers and a width of 9 meters has been concreted by the ministry, the statement said, adding transportation problems of the passengers have been solved compared to the past. The local residents were happy with the completion of the road and asked the leadership of the Islamic Emirate to pay necessary attention in the construction of health facilities and education centers in their province.
