Corruption in customhouses reaching zero, ministry

KABUL: The country’s Ministry of Finance has said in a statement that corruption in the ministry related customhouses has lowered to zero.
“Corruption has reached to nil in the ministry’s customhouse,” said a statement from the ministry calling on the international organizations to come and monitor the process of collecting revenues closely.
Head of the ministry’s revenues collection Miraj Mohammad Miraj said in the statement that the international humanitarian assistances was not effective in the removal of poverty in Afghanistan. “The international community’s sent money to the Afghanistan Central Bank has been used in the UNAMA projects. If half of the money were used directly by the IEA, the situation would be better than what is now.”
The statement quoted him as saying 10 percent of the crit-cards goes to the national budget and assured the people that the country’s revenues would not go to personal pockets.
“Tithe is not included in taxation and the people are not forced to give their tithe to the government or any of the Islamic Emirate members.”
