Construction work on some development projects kicked off in industrial park of Khost

KHOST: Construction work on a number of development projects worth 18 million Afghani (some 259,916 U.S. dollars), in an official ceremony, has been kicked off in the industrial park of the country’s eastern province of Khost, the provincial Industry and Commerce Department said in a statement on Tuesday. The ceremony was attended by a number of government officials including the Deputy Industry and Commerce Minister, Mawlavi Qudratullah Jamal and Director of the provincial industry department Mawlavi Shams Ahmad, the statement said. Director of the provincial industry and commerce department Mawlavi Shams Ahmad said dozens of manufacturing factories are facing challenges due to lack of necessary space and with the implementation of these projects, their problems will be addressed, according to the statement. “Dozens of investors have submitted applications for investment in this field and completing the necessary procedures, the land will be distributed to them,” the statement quoted Mawlavi Shams Ahmad as saying. Speaking at the ceremony, Mawlavi Qudratullah Jamal thanked the provincial administra tion and security officials, who reclaimed the land of the industrial park from the usurpers after years of delay, the statement added. “The Islamic Emirate has been always committed to support investors and industrialists with all its might and all investors, particularly the financiers of Khost province should invest in the said industrial park and provide thousands of folks with job opportunities,” the statement quoted Mawlavi Jamal as saying.
