Construction work on six school buildings kicked off in Logar

P UL-E-ALAM: Con struction work on six school buildings worth 72 million Afghani (some 1.1 million U.S. dollars), in an official ceremony, has been kicked off in the country’s central province of Logar, the provincial Education Department said in a statement the other day. Director of the provincial education department Mawlavi Abdul Rahman Hamedi said that the school building with the financial support of the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) will be built in Pul-e-Alam City and Mohammad Agha district of the province, according to the statement. Mawlavi Hamedi stated that with the successful completion of the school buildings, more than 10,000 students will be provided with an educational environment in the province. According to the reports, Logar has 282 schools and 82 of them don’t have buildings. The Kabul Times
