Construction work on car parking kicked off in Khost

KABUL: The Customs and Revenue Deputy Minister of Finance Mullah Abdul Qahir Idris, during his visit to the country’s eastern province of Khost, in an official ceremony, inaugurated a car parking worth 105.9 million Afghani (some 1.5 million U.S. dollars) in Customs of that province. The ceremony was attended by several government officials, the ministry said in a statement Wednesday. Addressing the ceremony, Mullah Idris said that there is a place of pleasure in which such projects, like other development projects, are implemented from the country’s national revenue, according to the statement. “Implementing such development projects in customs is necessary for the further growth of trade in the country and the creation of convenience for traders and motorists,” the statement quoted Mullah Idris as saying. He added that the car parking is being built on 14.3 acres of land within 9 months. M. Nabi
