Construction work on another 730 houses for quake-affected families kicked off in Herat, official

HERAT: Construction work on another 730 houses for quakeaffected families worth 400 million Afghani (some 5.8 million U.S. dollars) has been kicked off in the country’s western province of Herat, the provincial Information and Culture Department said in a statement Tuesday. Director of the provincial information and culture department and Spokesman of the Commission for Addressing the Challenges of the earthquake-affected families Mawlavi Ahmadullah Muttaqi said the houses will be built within a one month in three villages of the Robat Sangi district of the province, according to the statement. Also, construction work on thousands of houses for quakeaffected families have been started in many districts of the province, as construction work on some of the houses is due to be completed.
