Construction work on 5 development projects started in Laghman

MEHTARLAM: The construction work of five development projects worth over 3.6 million Afghani (some 41,402 U.S. dollars” has been started in the country’s eastern province of Laghman, the provincial municipality department said in a statement Sunday. “The projects included construction of a bus-station, bridges, culverts, and retaining walls as well as the reconstruction of other social areas and that 250 people will be provided with job opportunities in the projects,” the statement quoted the provincial Governor Qari Zainul Abuddin Abed as saying. Efforts are underway by the provincial municipality to start work on various development and economic projects in the province, said the statement. The Kabul Times
