HERAT: The Chinese 360 tons donated humanitarian aid for quake-affected families have arrived via Torghondi port to the country’s western province of Herat, the state-run Bakhtar News Agency reported on Saturday. The Spokesperson of the Commission for Regulating Aids to the quakes-affected people and the Director of the Herat Information and Culture Department Mawlavi Ahmadullah Muttaqi said the assistance includes tents, winter clothes, beds and first aid kits have been handed over to the representative of the Ministry of Finance, according to the agency. Appreciating the Chinese humanitarian assistance, Mufti Kefayatullah Haqqani the representative of the Ministry of Finance said the assistance will be distributed among the deserving people in the province, the agency added. Previously, tens of tons of humanitarian aid had been donated by Iran, Tajikistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye and other countries for earthquake-affected people in Herat province. The Kabul Times
