Chinese companies seeking investment in Panjshir’s mines

BAZARAK: A number of Chinese investors, in a meeting with the Governor of the country’s northeastern province of Panjshir, Hafiz Mohammad Agha Hakim, said that they are ready to invest in the province’s mines. Expressing interest in investing in the Panjshir River water supply project to Kabul, the Chinese investor said that after the resumption of power by the Is lamic Emirate, the security situation has been improved in Afghanistan, particularly in Panjhsir province and they are ready to invest in various sectors in the province, the provincial press office said in a statement the other day. The provincial governor Agha Hakim assured that the foreign and domestic investors will be provided with any necessary facilities, according to the statement. “Thousands of mines have been registered and work on more than 500 mines is underway in the province,” the statement quoted Agha Hakim as saying.
