China in favor of peaceful and stable Afghanistan, ambassador

KABUL: Acting Minister of Urban Development and Lands of the Islamic Emirate Shaikh Hamdullah Nomani has met with Wang Yu the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China for Afghanistan, here in Kabul, the ministry said in a statement Wednesday. In the meeting, Minister Shaikh Hamdullah Nomani, while, appreciating the cooperation and friendly relation of China with Afghanistan, asked Ambassador Wang Yu for the restoration of his country’s work on the largest Chinese-supported Nela Bagh housing project in Afghanistan, said the statement. “The IEA is fully committed to fulfill all its responsibilities and commitments which had been used in the contracts between the two countries,” the statement quoted Minister Nomani as saying. He added some of the challenges related to the project have been addressed and the work should be resumed as soon as possible. Since the IEA resumed power in the country, the ground has been paved for investment more than ever before and the Chinese investors if want to invest in Afghanistan, they will be provided with any necessary facilities, the statement said. “China always wants a peaceful, stable, developed and self-sufficient Afghanistan,” the statement quoted Chinese Ambassador Wang Yu as saying. The political, economic and trade relations should be boosted between the two neighboring and friendly countries, the statement added. The Kabul Times
