Challenges to be addressed, opportunities to be provided, Hanafi

KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minster for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, met with a number of local officials of the country’s northern province of Sar-e-Pul, his office said in a statement Monday. Sharing information about the security situation and local governance with Mawlavi Hanafi, the provincial Police Commander Mawlavi Abdul Basir Muzahari said the local authorities have always tried to provide the people with necessary services and security, according to the statement. “The Leadership of the Islamic Emirate should pay serious attention in the fields of implementation of economic and development projects, mining projects, construction of water dams, provision of modern education and job opportunities for the people, as well as addressing the challenges facing Mujahideen in Sar-e-Pul province,” the statement quoted Muzahari as saying. Appreciating the efforts and sacrifices of the people of the province in the establishment of the Islamic system and freedom of the country from the U.S. after 20 years of occupation, Mawlavi Hanafi said that the relevant officials of the Islamic Emirate were responsible in delivering better services, providing of sure security for the people, and should also have fair treatment with them, the statement added. “Addressing the challenges facing the people and creation of facilities for the people were the main commitment of the Islamic Emirate, and always has been committed to act and address the said issues with the available resources,” the statement quoted Hanafi.
