Cabinet holds meeting to assess, address refugees’ problems in neighboring countries

KABUL: Based on the direct instruction of IEA’s Supreme Leader Shaikh Hibatullah Akhundzada, the cabinet meeting was held with the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate Mullah Mohammad Hasan Akhund, on the chair to discuss the challenges facing Afghan refugees in the neighboring countries, Arg said in a statement Tuesday. Under the chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, a commission has been established to assess and address the Afghan refugees’ problems in the neighboring countries; particularly, in Pakistan, the statement said. The commission was also tasked to address the issues of Afghans returning from Pakistan effectively and swiftly. Recently, the Pakistani security forces have launched a crackdown on the Afghan refugees in that country. So far, they have arrested nearly thousands of refugees. Also, a number of international organizations, including the United Nations, have also called on Pakistan not to evict the refugees by force. The Kabul Times
