KABUL: Chaired by the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund and with the participation of deputy prime ministers and directors of independent institutions, weekly cabinet meeting was held on Monday in Kabul.
In the meeting, printing of 3 million passports and distribution of e-tazkiras to Kochis (nomads) were approved.
The cabinet tasked the national statistics and information authority to take necessary steps to implement the plan for distribution of e-tazkiras to the country’s nomads.
As the distribution of e-tazkiras had been suspended due to some problems, now the process will resume. In the meantime, the cabinet after reviewing and discussion about the ministry of finance’s suggestion in connection with addressing shortage of passports approved printing of 3 million passports.
In the meeting, the cabinet also discussed adopted necessary decisions on better use of VIP halls at airports and the problems of Afghan laborers in foreign countries.
