Cabinet approves 1402 fiscal year budget

KABUL: The meeting of the cabinet of the Islamic Emirate, presided over by Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund has approved budget for the 1402 fiscal year and tasked the ministry of finance to take the necessary measures in this field, a statement from Arg said Tuesday.
For the improvement of passport distribution services, a number of proposals from the representative of the related department were approved by the Prime Minister, according to the statement.
Meanwhile, the commission of addressing transportation challenges under the leadership of Acting Minister of Economic Mawlavi Mohammad Hanif and members from high-ranking officials of the General Directorate of Intelligence and ministries of Interior and Defense have been tasked regarding the implementation plan, control and regulation of transportation matters that have been approved to make a detailed assessment.
If there are any difficulties, find ways of their implementation, and solutions and present findings to the next cabinet meeting for decision-making, the meeting resolved.
“In order to return the usurped lands, the commission in complete coordination with the technical team should travel to the provinces and perform the necessary measures,” the statement quoted as the officials as saying.
Also, the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has been tasked to cancel the previous contract of Jabal Siraj cement.
The cabinet meeting didn’t specify the exact amount of the budget and said: “This would be specified after the approval of the Supreme Leader.”
