Burglars with cash arrested in Kunduz

KUNDUZ: A group of 9 armed burglars have been arrested with an amount of 50,000 U.S. dollar in Kunduz province, provincial police chief said the other day.
Qari Bakhtyar Moaz, Provincial Police Chief said in a press conference on Monday that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s forces in Kunduz arrested a group of 9 armed robbers with an amount of cash, the agency said.
The burglars have been arrested with 7.1 million Afghanis and 50,000 U.S. dollar which they have stolen from a money exchanger, according to the official.
Two weapons have also been seized from the arrestees, the source said adding the money recovered from them will be returned to the owner.
Moaz said that the level of criminal offenses in Kunduz has decreased and the security forces were working day and night to ensure security of the people.
According to the source the detainees have confessed to their crimes and will be introduced to the judicial bodies for further investigation.
