Books’ printing, distribution based on Afghanistan’s laws & regulations, Sancharaki

KABUL: Presided over by Deputy Minister of Information and Culture on Publications Fazel Sancharaki, the books evaluation commission held meeting on Tuesday, Bakhtar News Agency (BNA) reported.
According to the agency, the commission consists of different stakeholder entities’ representatives that evaluates the books being imported and those being sent to abroad.
The commission evaluates that the books’ contents should not be in contrary with the country’s laws, regulations and national interests so they don’t disturb order, security, stability, national unity and create religious and linguistic discords, the agency added.
Deputy MoIC Sancharaki pointed out that considering freedom of speech, access to information and cultural and intellectual growth, the commission would welcome works and books’ printing and distribution in the country.
Likewise, the commission is making effort that the books’ printing and distribution to be done based on the country’s laws and regulations, he went on to say.
