Book exhibition held in Kabul

KABUL: The Ministry of Information and Culture in cooperation with the Kabul Municipality held a one-week book exhibition on Sunday in Park Zarnigar. The Deputy of Social and Culture Affairs of the Kabul Municipality Mawlavi Habiburrahman Mansour commended the exhibition organizers and said that the book was the best friend and the lasting partner of humans. Pointing to the importance of book-reading culture, Mansour said that the ground should be paved by the relevant organs for conducting such book exhibitions, as it is a positive step towards encouraging people to book reading. “By book, we can solve the country’s challenges and will step towards development and prosperity,” Mansour said, adding that KM was committed to any necessary cooperation to conduct book exhibitions in all districts of the Kabul city. Mansour further added that Kabul is a cultural province and its residents with their full interests are buying books, therefore; the book-reading culture is in a satisfactory situation. About 200 booths housing various books and other publications have been displayed in the exhibition. Samiullah Momand
