Biscuit production factory inaugurated in Balkh

MAZAR-E-SHARIF: A biscuit-producing factory worth 20.4 million Afghani (some 282,180 U.S. dollars) in an official ceremony, has been inaugurated in the country’s northern province of Balkh, producing dry grade biscuit, the provincial press office said in a statement the other day. The ceremony was participated by a number of provincial officials including Mawlavi Sultan Mohammad Saeed, Head of the Balkh Province Office, the statement said. Specializing in producing dry grape biscuits, the factory produces 5 tons of biscuits daily, the statement further said, adding scores of individuals are provided with job opportunities.
